A spokesperson for Kensington Palace confirmed today that the Duchess of Cambridge wore the same vagina to the birth of both her children.
The 34-year-old mother of two first gave birth to baby George in January 2013, followed by his little sister Charlotte, in May last year.
Though it is not the first time Middleton, a doyenne of high street style, has re-worn an old ensemble, many are shocked she would do so on such a momentous occasion.
“Supposed to be a role model. Disappointing Kate!!!” – tweeted @fashionbebzznyc
@monarchwatcher111 also joined the chorus of disapproval, tweeting – ‘Its bin 2 yrs, you wud think she’d have gotten a new one in that time’
Vanity Fair editor Carol Bainbridge thinks shifting standards are to blame.
“Although people like Kate’s ‘down-to-earthness’, we also now expect the royals to be more fashion-forward,” Ms Bainbridge told us.
But Daily Mail columnist and avid royal historian Josh Duboff disagrees.
“This would absolutely not have happened in the old days!”
“Say what you will about the Queen but I can assure you that she wore three very different, flattering vaginas to the birth of each of her three children.”
