Former Rugby League participant Braith Anasta has announced he will be making a dramatic comeback for the Wests Tigers from next week.
To mark Anasta’s return, Wests Tigers players will all be wearing black armbands next match in a show of solidarity for the club.
“It’s a sad day for us at the Tigers, we won’t be able to win if Braith wears the six jersey and we had high hopes for this year so, yeah, it’s pretty disappointing,” Aaron Woods told the media this morning.
“Mad Monday preparations have started early that’s for sure.”
The Tigers are now paying $1.03 for the wooden spoon following the news, however, this reaction hasn’t worried the man himself.
“I’ve been in this position before plenty of times so it doesn’t worry me at all,” Anasta told The Fault Report.
When asked to clarify what he meant by ‘this position’, Anasta was even more direct.
“Preparing to lose,” he said.
