The Australian cricket team have declared they will not be participating in the upcoming tour of Bangladesh, citing boredom as the main reason.
“People are saying we’re not going due to the pay dispute, that has nothing to do with it,” Aussie skipper Steve Smith said.
“Playing Bangladesh is pointless. We might as well just have a really lengthy net session instead, I mean, let’s face it, the net would have a greater chance of staging an upset.”
When asked if there was any incentive that could be offered to convince the team to participate, Smith appeared doubtful.
“Not really to be honest mate, I mean, maybe we could use the tour to help improve Shaun Marsh’s batting average, but even then, I’d prefer we teach him some batting basics here on home soil.”
