The St George Illawarra Dragons have reportedly sent an email to Josh Dugan’s management encouraging the star centre to be tardy for all future games.
“We had a team meeting yesterday with all of the players about it, Josh was supposed to attend too but he was nursing a hangover, anyway we think it is in the best interests of the club if Josh continues to be late for all future club matches,” Dragons coach Paul McGregor said.
“We have broken down the stats on this one and have come to the conclusion that the lack of Dugan really helps us win matches – we’d love to continue that trend if at all possible.”
Dugan was due to meet the club to discuss the potential of being perpetually late for the remainder of his contract, however, he has been delayed in traffic and will be unlikely to attend.
The meeting is said to be running very well without him.
