Senior Roosters executives have been hospitalised today after suffering from severe bouts of uncontrollable laughter following a failed ultimatum delivered by its halfback Mitchell Pearce.
“Several executives on the Roosters board remain in a serious but stable condition,” a spokesperson for the Prince of Wales Hospital said.
“All we know at this stage is that these men were exposed to some kind of perplexing demand and as a result their bodies have gone into a sniggering meltdown.”
“One man literally pissed himself, that’s how severe the episode was.”
However what has come to light in the last few hours is the role Mitchell Pearce played in the incident.
“So basically Mitch told the board that if the club signed Cooper Cronk as the Roosters number 7 that he would walk,” explains Roosters coach Trent Robinson.
“As you can imagine, the board struggled to compute what Mitch was saying but after a few seconds the penny dropped – that’s when pandemonium ensued in the boardroom.”
Pearce has been given permission to negotiate with other clubs the Roosters have stated.
